Climate change is one of the most important issues facing the world globally, yet it’s a topic often shied away from. Inspired by environmental activist David Suzuki, Western Australian photographer Jack Allen has decided to face it head on with his upcoming exhibition, The 59th Minute. Jack Allen is a graduate of the Central Institute of Technology where he studied photography for three years, later completing a Bachelor of Creative Industries at Edith Cowan University. This will be his first solo exhibition, featuring an array of stunning black-and-white images that focus on sprawling, natural landscapes. The title of the show is symbolic, as Allen explains: “Hopefully it will not be in the 59th Minute that we begin to understand what is about to happen.”
Sponsored by Gage Roads Brewing Co. and assisted by Perth Pro Lab, The 59th Minute opens on Thursday the 28th of April at Little Wing Corner Gallery in Subiaco.
