Edie Green are tune whizzes, tune wizards and everything else in between. After a brief period of hiatus with frontwoman, Sophie Wiegele in Norway for a few months the crew are back together and back at it again with new single Moonshine, off their forthcoming EP.

With the band constantly in a state of flux sound-wise, it’s always intriguing to see what the indie folk outfit will offer up next. Boy have they delivered with this one!

Grabbing you by its powerful clutches, Moonshine propels you into a drunken night of nostalgia along the Western coast. The tune caresses your ears with its driving guitar lick in a constant push of ascension and rhythmic descent. Whilst Wiegele’s vocals soar over the plateau, signalled by the thud of the drums,  Edie Green transform the barren landscape they began with into a utopia of sound and a song very worth having a listen to.

Moonshine launches tonight at The Bird with Shy Panther and Monroe. More deets here.
