The Ink Grid Print Launch - Interview Nibbles: HUSSY

With The Ink Grid's Print Launch at The Bird fast approaching, we hit up the musicians performing on the night so you can learn a little bit more about who they are and what you can expect from their set on April 16.

Say hey to HUSSY!

Formed as a five piece band in the drummer's spare room. HUSSY are your gals next door playing a mix of garage punk and catchy girl pop pieces with an RnB infuence. We spoke with the gang ahead of the launch Saturday.

Have a gander.

If you had to describe your music in three words, how would you describe it?

Loud, fun and colourful.

What’s the story on how you started playing?

We’re mutual friends of friends who took a risk on each other: we were strangers before Marcia messaged us to start a band. We met up, fell in love with each other and remain happily ever after since!

What’s the most rewarding part about being a part of the music scene?

Meeting other musically-minded people and being front row watching all the other rad talent Perth has to offer. These bands are first-class and in a league of their own, so watching them perform keeps us inspired.

What about the music scene do you wish you could change?

We wish there were more late night venues in Perth and less pubs owned by ALH.

Tell us about the vibes we can expect from your set at The Ink Grid launch.

Expect us to be rowdy, amped, wild and silly.

Are you guys getting up to anything cool for the rest of the year?

We aim to have our debut album out by next summer and fingers crossed for a south coast tour!
