Ah Trees, our favourite groovers and movers have just dropped two new tracks today ahead of their Saturday support set for Jeremy Neale at Jack Rabbit Slim’s.
Easy, the first of the two songs draws on an obscure rhythm section whilst keys reminiscent of a much loved 80’s era drive the track. With angelic production aspects mimicking the mass unison of a choir, vocalist, Ryan Adair’s repetitive lyrics breathe life into the strong funk tune.
The second of Ah Trees’ releases, Nara is a rainy echo of a track, harnessing that measured melancholic vibe. Injected with the band’s familiar blues style riffs, the song floats amongst the airwaves peaking at the chorus line ‘I keep making promises and I keep breaking promises’. Simple, yet effective, Ah Trees’ song writing is one of the Perth outfit’s most appealing aspects along with an ease of flow the band hone when performing their groovy tunes.
