With a little over a month till Tame Impala grace Perth with their saucy synthetica we thought we’d offer up some local Perth favourites who we hope will grace stages just as big as Tame do now.
Psychedelic Porn Crumpets
Like a fizzy cocktail of some really trippy fruit, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets have been enticing our tastebuds with their urgent guitar licks, grunge infused melodies and energy on stage.
Formed in 2014 the group have taken a giant leap in the Perth music scene, we’re excited to see what else they’ll be delivering to our eager ears.
I saw these guys at The Rosemount a little while back and I’ve got to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The boys, each in their own respective bands have formed to meld a kaleidoscope of calorific surf rock and new wave rock sounds. With only one track up on their SoundCloud at the moment, make an effort to see moistoyster live next time they play!
Tune wizards and defiant non conformists, Edie Green keep pumping out tracks that leave their listeners both bewildered and salivating for more. Releasing their debut EP this year, the Perth outfit have been gallivanting around with their new repertoire, spurring some seriously energetic patrons to bust out a few moves.
